The accommodation units received their annual inspection visit from the Care Inspectorate in early June. This is a regulatory body setup by The Scottish Government to provide quality assurance and protection to industries relating to care, social work and child protection services in Scotland.
The report reflects the period of change that the accommodation services are undergoing. With staff recently relocated to this office, work by management on quality assurance protocols and training schemes an ongoing process and improving continuously. An indication of this is meeting previous recommendations on adding a personal plan for staff as part of The Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland regulations which was met within timescale provided.
