Transform Moves to a new Home

After over Eight years planning and fundraising Transform has finally moved into its new Home in Douglas Street. The

site in Douglas Street was the old Park Mill which Transform purchased back in 2006 with the intention of refurbishing the old mil building to create offices and training space for the organisation. Sadly in 2007 the building burned to the ground causing a major setback to the project. However over the next few years a new vision for social enterprise centre to house Transform enterprise activities was born and funding sought to achieve this.

In 2012 full funding was finally in place and a design team appointed. Social Enterprise Scotland and the Royal Bank of Scotland were major funders and Grants from the Robertson Trust, Gannochy Trust and Clothworkers Foundation made up the remaining funding.

In October 2013 the organisation finally took possession of its new home which now houses Fareshare and the Furniture project as well as providing office and training accommodation for the whole organisation.
