Transform Furniture

Transform Furniture was launched in December 2006 with three clear aims:

Provide quality reusable furniture to vulnerable local groups — including people moving out of homelessness, those on low incomes or benefits, students, older people, and individuals with disabilities.
Create training and employment opportunities for local people facing barriers to finding work.
Reduce landfill waste by giving household goods a new life.

Our retail unit at 20 Victoria Road, Dundee is open to the public Monday–Friday, 10am–4pm.
For those needing assistance to obtain furniture, referrals can be made through a support provider.

Alongside everyday essentials, we also offer unique pre-loved treasures — from antiques and mid-century classics to quirky upcycled pieces lovingly crafted by our team of creative volunteers.

We'll take most types of furniture, as long as it's in a useable condition. So sofas, armchairs, beds/mattresses, dining sets etc. Any furniture should have the appropriate fire labels, as without them we may not be able to use it. Unfortunately, we do not have the facilities to re-cycle white goods, so cannot collect these, but there are other organisations within the city are set up to deal with white goods.

Transform Furniture will use the furniture to support referrals. this is where we furnish accommodation of those without the means to buy new furniture. We also sell furniture in other shop on Dundee's Victoria Road at very competitive prices. Some donations are also "upcycled" by volunteers giving new purpose to "unfashionable" pieces of furniture and unique pieces can be sold via our Etsy shop.

Nothing, collections are completely free.

Yes, when you request a collection, you will be asked it you wish to make a Gift Aid donation. If you're a UK taxpayer, you can make your donation worth 25% more.
