FareShare Tayside & Fife

The figures are in for the year April 2022 to March 2023 and we'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported us in supplying our local communities with surplus produce. With the support of FareShare UK and partners in the food industry we redistributed 698,000 kg tonnes to 152 community members around Dundee, Perth & Kinross, Angus, Fife and Clackmannanshire. This equates to a staggering 1.6 million meals.

It's truly inspiring to see the collaboration with food industry partners resulting in such a substantial redistribution of surplus and donated produce. FareShare Tayside & Fife will continue to develop these relationship to source more produce for our members to use. This types and range of produce continues to evolve, and we are seeing less retail food i.e. ready meals etc. and more raw ingredients, catering packs etc. which presents both challenges and opportunities to us and our fantastic community members.
