September was Recovery Month

Our Housing First Dundee team took part in events promoting September's Recovery Month.

they attended Douglas Community Centre - Recovery & Nature, The Change Centre - Family Gala Day and The Steeple - Recovery Journey Day to promote their work and that of the wider organisation. attendees were invited to take part in interactive games including Abbey Road which highlighted the positive impact of housing first and breaking the cycle of. homelessness in Dundee.

We also ran a competition to guess how many sweets were in the jar. The 1638 sweets related to the number of homeless applications in Dundee in 2024/5. The closest guess was 1666 was the closest which shows that we still have a long way to go to end homelessness in the city.
