As our involvement in the Housing First Europe Hub Conference in Rotterdam drew to a close, I was asked to capture some of my thoughts and experiences in two blog posts. One reflects on the discussions, insights and learning from the second day of the conference, while the other focuses on my experience as note-taker during the Mobilising Existing Social Housing Stock-Partnerships & Policy workshop.

This workshop explored current approaches to using social housing to provide stable, long-term accommodation for people experiencing homelessness, particularly within Housing First programmes. It examined the development of housing policies and practices in Brussels, Bratislava, Malta and Poland, highlighting both the successes achieved and the challenges encountered in their implementation. The session offered valuable insights into how different countries are mobilising existing social housing stock to create sustainable housing solutions for some of the most vulnerable members of their communities.
